Bright white is between white and blue (4,000 to 5,000 Kelvin). With a less cozy and more energetic feel, bulbs with this color range are best for workspaces (such as a home office or garage) and kitchens with chrome fixtures. Daylight (5,000 to 6,500 Kelvin) has a bluish tone.

Warm white is typically a lower number on the kelvin spectrum, meaning the light will have a more generous, yellower tone. Soft white is typically slightly higher on the range and will be a somewhat whiter light.
